Sally Anne Upton is an all-rounder and then some.
Think Wentworth on TV (among so many others that it would be a whole blog post just listing her credits!), recent musicals Mary Poppins and Oliver and Measure for Measure and The Visit for the Melbourne Theatre Company. But today, she’s doing none of that.
Today, she is wearing a totally different hat. She’s being a civil celebrant!

Where are you working from today?
An apartment in Sydney. I was fortunate enough to have been flown up to do a wedding!
What are you working on?
A fabulous wedding for a same-sex couple. With two contrasting entrances from the grooms, set in the gardens of a castle.
How’s it going?
Great, only a few minor last-minute changes but the ceremony is going to be beautiful to conduct.
When you get stuck, what do you do?
Rely on my instincts, and go with my gut. When in doubt laugh, and go with the flow.
Who sees your earliest draft & at what stage?
Once I am happy with it, the couple always see the first draft.
